Boise Cycling

All things cycling-related in the Boise, Idaho area.

If a person were to move to Boise, are there locations or suburbs of the city that are better suited for a person looking to have the best/easy access to a majority of the mt biking?  If someone already feels they are in that spot, I would love to hear about it, or if you had the chance to move anywhere in Boise to be in that spot, where would that spot be?

Boise is a unique town in that the best mountain biking is actually most accessible from town itself since the city is nestled against the northern foothills. Living in the suburbs actually makes it harder...well not harder, just more pavement to ride before you get to the trails.

As they say in Boise, all trails lead to Camel's Back Park so living in the North End historic district would give you the quickest access to the most amount of trails (and it's a cool part of town).

But as you can see from the Ridge to Rivers map, anywhere on the northside of town along Hill Rd, puts you pretty close to various trailheads. Most of the regions are interconnected (or soon will be) so from those points you can usually criss-cross the foothills without having to ride too much pavement.

And there are a bunch of awesome new trails up at Bogus Basin, so being close to Bogus Basin Road (again, the North End) makes those easy to get to as well.

Hope this helps!
Thank you for your response and your time, it is appreciated.
