Bicycle Commuting Workshop for Women - Wed, Mar 24, 4:30–7:00 PM

Wednesday, March 24 - Boise State University's Community Bicycle Congress will present a workshop especially for women. Whether you are experienced or aspirational, this workshop will have something to offer.

Cycling in Comfort - we will display and compare clothing to keep you comfortable on the bike.  In addition, we will display and discuss bags for carrying work materials, clothes and everything from lunch to laptops.

The Elegant Bike Commuter - clothing for the time you spend "off the bike." We will display lines of apparel designed to withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle, to let you look good on the job. Includes discussion of fabrics and how they function.

Cycling with Confidence - prevention is the best medicine.  We will display and discuss systems to minimize the risk of flat tires.  In addition, we will demonstrate cutting-edge lighting systems for your bike. You'll be surprised at the effectiveness of recent developments in lighting technology.

Besides these three focal areas, there will be ample opportunity for free-ranging discussion of individual concerns.

Site of the workshop is the Student Union Building, Hatch Ballroom A. Workshop is scheduled to run from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. and is free, open to the public, and open-door. Arrive when you can, leave when you need to.
