Boise Cycling

All things cycling-related in the Boise, Idaho area.

Hello, I am new to Boise and have a terrible sense of direction. :-) I would like to find out where the good road rides are and ride with some people so I don't get lost and get eaten by a mountain goat or something!!! hahaha

Hello Andrea and welcome to Boise!

Depending on where you live and how far you want to ride there are plenty of good routes around Boise. The "Dump Loop" is a staple for most roadies who live downtown: Take Hill Rd, to Seaman's Gulch, Dry Creek, Cartwright, Bogus Basin, Hill Rd. Lots of ups and downs. Bogus Basin Road is another popular ride with very little vehicle traffic (once the ski season ends in the spring).

I created a bunch of maps of rides I do often on Bikely.com:

Most of them start and end in Eagle, so add another 20 miles of Hill Rd riding if you're coming from downtown.

Hope this helps!
